Auditors praise the education reform

A panel of experts auditing the education offered by the University of Tampere concluded that the University had embarked on trailblazing work in Finland when it reformed its degree programmes in 2010–2015. The starting point of the reform was defining the expertise a Master’s degree-holder should possess in each field; it was then decided what kind of education would be needed in order to produce that knowledge. The new degree programmes thus became wide-ranging and based on learning outcomes. At the same time, academic guidance counselling was also developed.
